OCC Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tars Review and Swatches

7 Mar

~$14 from occmakeup.com, Sephora (sold with small lip brush)
I got Memento on sale (old packaging) for $8 at suite7beauty.com

“A stunning new innovation in lip color, OCC Lip Tar combines the longevity of a lipstick, with the ease of application of a gloss. Goes on slick and moist, and dries down to a satin finish. Ultra-saturated in color, Lip Tar contains an unprecedented amount of pigment – a little goes a very, very long way! An intense yet featherweight layer of color that never looks or feels heavy.

Meant to be mixed, Lip Tar comes in concise array of colors for a limitless selection of shades made by you! A simple, elegant formula that contains Hemp Oil, Peppermint Oil and Vitamin E, OCC Lip Tar feels as good on the lips as it looks!”

These lip products receive rave reviews for a reason!  They are seriously awesome.

They may seem a bit pricey, but you need the absolute tiniest bit for your lips. If you apply too much, you’ll have some serious feathering going on.

They are very lightweight and long lasting, although they do transfer a bit.  They last decently through eating and drinking.

If you have super chapped lips, you may wanna exfoliate before wearing them but they honestly do not dry out your lips.

As stated, these lip tars are meant to be mixed so OCC has a wide array of colors, including some unconventional ones (although they still look awesome alone)

The directions do say to wear over their Clear Lip Tar, but it’s optional.  I have heard that it really makes the colors stand out, though.
