imPress Press on Manicure Review

~$5  at CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Walmart,…

This review is for the manicure, the pedicure one was really cute, but ultimately wasn’t that great.

“No drying time–The imPRESS Press-On Manicure delivers an instant salon-perfect manicure without the drying time of polish or nail glue.
Superior, lasting shine—An indestructible top coat that rivals the best salon gel polish.
Easy removal—Gently peel from sides or apply polish remover around the edges, wait 1 minute, then peel off.
Lasts up to a week—When applied properly, imPress Press-On Manicure lasts up to a week while keeping nails protected. What polish can say that!”

I was initially really skeptical of these because they just made me think of the stick on nails I used to play with as a kid, but I kept seeing decent reviews of these.  I spotted the orange ones at Walmart a few weeks ago so I grabbed them.

First off – these must be made for people who have really long nail beds.  These were “medium” length.

They were pretty easy to cut down, but the adhesive was longer than my actual nails on this pair.  This caused them to get really gross underneath.  I ended up taking these off 2 days later for school (I didn’t think it over well enough) but good thing because they were getting gunky.

I made sure that the second pair I got were “short”.  These were the perfect length!

The only gripe I have about these is that they need more sizes…11 is the smallest size and it was still a bit big on my little fingers.  Also, they weren’t curved enough for some of my nails.  Although, in all fairness, I should have cut that nail  back a bit.

These do stick on very well, I was surprised.  You’re not supposed to clip or file them until 30 minutes after, but mine were good after 10 minutes.  Even if you don’t need to file them down, you may want to file the very top where there is a bump.

The packaging says they wear for about a week, I got about 5 days out of them until my pinky nails came off.  After about 3 days some of the very top layer began to peel a bit and the edges started to wear off.

Taking them off wasn’t the easiest thing, but they came off without damaging my nails.  Just a bit of peeling…
